BioSkins to cool building - smart idea from Sony Japan

Nikken Sekkeis Evaporative Cooling Bio skins

I saw in a TV show that Sony Japan saves a lot of electricity using Bioskins.  These are aluminum tubings wrapped around the building like bamboo slats.  Rain water is collected at rooftop and e allowed to run through the aluminum tubes.  The aluminum tubes has tiny holes that allow the tubes to breathe, allow the water the evaporate (evaporative cooling?)  It cools the building, 0 maintenance

New Leadership at AGSB -Dean Albert Buenviaje Retiring as Dean on March 31, 2014

One  week from now, Dean Albert Buenviaje would have retired, leaving AGSB with fond memories of his kindness.   Of course, Dean Albert is a protege of Dr. Alran Bengzon.

We went all on a hard stuff of "What is so Ateneo about Ateneo" and transformed AGSB from a train station to a community of educators with Ignatian spirit.

The New Dean true to the announcement at the Crimson Hotel last August  of sharing resources brought with him his team.  They are now at AGSB.  The old timers, the Bengzon and Buenviaje loyalists are concerned.

But the new Dean has not talked nor issued any pronouncement and that makes the events rather worrisome to many faculty. It has started a lot of speculations and much activity in the rumor mill  I talked to the outgoing dean and he said the new Dean will not talk out of decency because he is still in charge.

There will a be a despedida for the Dean come March 31, 2014.  I have second to the last class unfortunately

I was fortunate to converse with the outgoing Dean yesterday afternoon; he will be up to end of the month only.  He is retiring;  he was my college classmate
