You too can be a be billionaire soon. while you are young.  While the rest of the population are worrying about their next meal, our guest, Louie Yakich last Friday made it look so easy to be billionaire early on even in the Philippines, even if you are not in same category as John G or Michael Tan

On your own.  In your own time.  No dark secrets and special knowledge needed.



And the surprising thing is that Louie actually did it.  And he has solid proofs to show this.  He is the most street  smart guy/entrep guy I met.  Even smarter than Robert Kiyosaki or Donald Trump (Donald Trump has a rich Dad)

He says that most DIY books on how to get rich do not actually teach you the how.  They just excite you to get rich.

He looked very ordinary when he came to class, did not have laptop or USB as we normally expect guest to.  But talked in great length and depth

1. The story of the ditch digger who works the hardest

He told us the story of a slave who was assigned to a General in the olden Egypt.  He got separated from his wife.  As a ditch digger,  he worked the hardest and longest than the others.  He was disliked by other workers because he made them look bad, slow and lazy worker. Later, the Pharaoh asked the general to lend him workers to do the pyramids.  Workers cried because they know they will die.  The general made a request to the pharaoh to leave the hardworking slave to be left behind.  The slave was made in charge of the bread shop of the general and later made partner.

Morale of the story:  be different, and work very hard in what you do.

In relation to his story:    Louie was a microchip engineer at Intel..  He graduated from UCLA. He worked at Intel because that is what his parents wanted him to do.  He basically did an 8 to 5 job because he did not actually like it  He did not dig ditches hard enough. He did not like his job

He asked himself what he liked doing.  He discovered it was real estate development.  So he resigned and tore his diploma.  And pursued real estate.  There he learned to dig ditches harder and deeper than everybody else.

Does he ever sleep?  He takes a rest but the idea, the passion keeps burning day and night

2.  DDC

 

Dream  - find your passion.  What do you enjoy doing.  Like flipping a big hotel

Determination  - Be strong and  persistent to reach your dream.  In a case while building the 12 storey Lexus Condo and Hotel Project in Balibago, people who gave him money started filing cases vs him to delay the condo construction.  He said you must have guts and the ability to overcome this difficulties.  He was able to overcome this and flip the project around.  Louie owns the Yakich and Cuzon Corp which owns the Grand Louis Hotel at Malabanias Angeles City

Connection - the idea of knowing the right person, drinking, dining, giving gifts to people who regulate your business  is not disdainful. You need connection to succeed.  Success is about people.  It is about people supporting you. You must know  people in high places and have good working relation with them (they must be able to speed up your permits, tweak some in your favor etc)

You need people like Liza (who owns a bank) to support you in your ventures. (He could not say No to Liza for this event.  There so much connection gratitude at stake here)

3.  Build your reputation and integrity

You must keep your word

You must finish your project on time

You must deliver what your promised.

When this happens, money starts coming

4.  Know how to flip and how to scale up

 He started with P200,000 (which people says he got from one of your classmates.

He flipped this to P2.0 m

He flipped this to P4.0 m

To P10 m

Then to P20 m

Then to P40 m

Then to P100m

Then to P200 million

When you know your business, your marketing, and cash flow, then you acquire capacity and confidence to flip

For instance you need money capital to start a venture.  You can borrow the money for the venture. I have maintained that capital means capito, (Latin for head) is your key to starting entrepreneurial venture.  There are various ways to do this, if just continue thinking of ways  how to do this (NU6)  For instance  I know a group of guys who started a food venture (which turned to be a success) by maxing out their credit cards, a total of P500, 000 to buy their restaurant utensils and equipment)  The problem is how do you have credit card?  Banks give you credit card based on savings amount you have with them.  Got any ideas?

It is easier than ever to start a venture;  to obtain capital.  All you have to do is to research, ask questions, find your connection, and do it.   A lot of ingenuity.  The more you think....

Can you do this?

It looks easy here.  It may be hard in reality.  Reality and difficulties will test your resilience and determination.  But it can be done.

It is not about making more money.  Money is just a way of keeping of score how good you have become in your DDC.
