Bamboo grows in abundance anywhere in the Philippines It requires little care and grows at an outstanding rate (even at 4 ft per day)   A Norwegian scientist remarked that bamboo can save the earth

What are commercial application of bamboo:

1.  Food -  labong (sold in China and Philippines as fresh, canned or dried.  Plenty of health benefits

2.   Textile  -  softer than cotton can be used for T shirts, blankets, towels

3.  Paper and packaging material

4.  House construction

5.  Decors

6.  Deckings and flooring

7.  Scaffolding and construction use

8.  Carbon trading.   It is seen as a way out of carbon dioxide build up.   A hectare can reduce CO2 by as much as 2,000 tons per year per hectare;   an equivalent of CO2 exhaust by a jet plane on trans atlantic voyage.   Carbon credits can be traded and sold as compliance by polluting industries.   

Bamboo is seen as replacement for timber which takes 50 to 100 years to mature.  Bamboo matures in 3 years.   

Lets grow rich in bamboo?!  There are association of bamboo growers at Mindanao.  Former Sec of Agriculture Manny Pinol is active in this.

Value adding is real business: paper shuffling is not

Many of so called business and livelihood are merely tong pats, and products of speculation.  Ie buy low sell high and does nothing to increase the value of the product for himself and the humanity.  While there are groups that get wealthy onf:  stock and fx trading, crypto, land banking   they dont do much to improve lot of humanity.

Hats off to those:

    1.  Grow food on the farms,

    2   Produce goods:    industrial or retail,

    3.  Treat sick people

    4.  Build and construct homes and building, build roads and bridges

    5.  Produce electricity and water, 

    6.  Transport people and goods.

But I would posit to guess that 50% of businessman makes margin on trade, lending money, 

speculation and the like.   

That is why I left banking and did not try to go into trading goods or currency, financial instruments

Is moving on advanced information illegal - insider trading (from Billions)

Do you rely on available information to trade or invest, or a new one which the public or the rest does not know?  But latter would be insider trading which is illegal.   A farmer who fed  Axe information on  pharma product (but whose hospital bills were paid for by Axe)  was charged with Federal offense.

Taylor argued with Axe when Axe invested in energy after Krakow (now the Secretary of Treasury) gave him information that soon Feds would encourage growth of Renewables.  Thus Axe hurried to invest in Energy..  Of course in exchange for the information he wants to get paid in an offshore account

Taylor argued that investments should be made on solid research information at hand.

So do you invest in what is tried and true and what is available at google, or something that is not yet

tried on true.  Is trading on information  (even advanced information) from grapevine illegal.

Wendy was also in hot water after hearing in a meeting that a company would be going down (its shares

would take a beating) thus investing in a short.    

SEC the state attorney was quick to pounce on Wendy.
