What we did at AGSB University of Iloilo Campus last January 11, 2014

January 13, 2014

My second free lunch with the class;  at Punsyon in Mandurriao (near SM):  Ramey, Prof Jorge,  Pam, Christian,  Jan, Terence, and Joevic

We had the following activities at the Entrepr Class in Iloilo, (University of Iloilo campus program)

1.  Concept  for products, and businesses.  We did a rapid prototyping exercise on common products as ID, pen, and keys.

2.  Tag lines

3.  Practice:

     1.  New product concept from negative materials (trash)

     2.  Rapid prototyping .

While we exchanged the trash brought by the class, the Group of Terence, Ramey and Jan had all things set;  they had a rather remarkable non slip, reversible slip less.  (The traditional slippers really slip.)  True entrepreneurs:   flexible, resourceful yet with strong determination.  Last minute changes will not deter them.

4.  Concepts on existing business

5.   Special reports:    Transcomm BPO recruitment by Pam, Emyth by Jan, Steve Jobs by Ramey.  (Sorry I got confused, was it Joe Vic who presented)

6.  Inspirational videos by everyone.  All submitted.

This is a remarkable class.  It is powepacked:

1. One is a National Sales Manager of an agrichem company;

2.  One is a President of Sugar Central, and group vice president.

3.  One is a HR manager of a BPO company

4.  One is a VP of a building materials company

5.  One is a plant manager of a beverage company

6.  One is an R & D officer of a family owned pharmaceutical company

3 work in corporate setting,

3 work in family/entrep settings

One of them works for a third party and a family business.   I hope to learn from them, and them from each other.  As it is I know I have lot of things to share with them

We visited the Amigo hotel of Terence, and saw their flour silos.

We will schedule visits to:   Jans pharma, the AM builders of Christian, the Coke Plant of Ramey, and the hardware of Joy and Transcomm office.

We started the class late last Saturday.  There was no projector, because the old one being used was stolen.  Everybody was there on time:    Joevic, Terence, Pam, Jan, Ramey,  and Christian.

Rapid prototyping; agile development

Pam doing the pitch for their new product;  Joevic and Christian group mate listens

The class just entered the room about to say the prayers

The group proudly presents the products from trash

The class did a concept study of Punsyon
