We had a cluster meeting with Prof Dr. George Fong whom I learned took over Ms. Winnie Constantino who has or will be resigning together with several others faculty. I just learned that there are only 4 remaining Entrep professors for elective: Prof Glen San Luis (mentor of yours truly and Dr. Tony) Dr. Tony del Carmen, Dr. George Fong, and yours truly. This was our first meeting in several years. We had a plenty under Col Sibal.
Prof Glenn will be going on a Sabbatical and I was hinting to Dr. Fong that I will be rejoining the business world 100% and he objected/refused to notice my request/intention. He said that the ranks of entrep professor is decimated.
We talked about:
1. Standardizing the syllabus methods of teaching. But that is not feasible as this requires different approaches to different programs; but we can agree on the objectives.
2. New offerings;
Corporate entrepreneurship
Global Entrepreneurship. I pointed out that Dr. Fong is poised to teach this being a product of Thunderbird which is one of the best school on this subject
This quarter suggested lean start ups and rapid prototyping but not applicable to most MBA students.
3. What students find useful:
1. The motivational/inspiring portion
2. The entrep talk/visits
4. What is the future of Entrepreneurship at AGSB
Fr Jett, the President wants AGSB to be the leader in teaching entrepreneurship; global entrepreneurship. anchored on Ignatian spirituality
