It my wife's xx + 3th birthday today and my daughters gave her a birthday celebration at Vikings at the new Fashion Hall of Megamall. Since it was a Holiday, our price was P1,088 per adult (there were 10 of us)
The promos for today are:
10 + 1 for groups
Free treat for the graduate
Free for birthday celebrant.
We got 3 senior citizen discount (I forgot to bring mine) and my wife was of course free. Since it was a holiday, the place was full.
The PTM:
Son and mom having marshmallows coated with chocolate syrup from choco fountain
Friends having a treat
Song and Viking headgear for the birthday celebrant
Those who can spend P1,000 per meal/per head. (The Pino target market that Pino wants. The crowd was mixed:
1. Families
2. elderly
3. foreigners, balikbayan (the spoke English to their children)
4. those who wanted to give a special treat to a friend, spouse or girl friend, boyfriend, barkada.
Very clearly, it was the occasion that counted. There were at least 10 to whom the waiter sang birthday songs. (It was thrilling, emotional thing for the celebrant) Anyway, it was so because there was a promo) I did not know if there were graduates. No one sang a school song there?

Location:
There are several Vikings: MoA, Marikina, Davao and now at Megamall. This looks like an attraction for the Fashion Mall since it caters to more heavy spender. The resto overlooks the MRT and the other tall buildings of Mandaluyong.. It is located at 4th floor of the Fashion Hall (the new circular building near Shangrila constructed on what used to be old entrance and open parking (in case you havent visited Megamall lately
The elevators going up from GF are high speed and can accommodate up to 20 pax (unlike the scenic elevator of megamall which are slow and have very low capacity. The Fashion Hall has wide walkways, and large atrium (It would like to present itself as not sale/sm mall

My food
The product
I guess they offer at least 300 dishes/beverage selection: divided into 6 sections: Japanese, dessert, drinks (which include coffee, beer, juices), dessert, Italian food (pizza, bread, spaghetti) and Filipino food, fresh fish and meat for grill. Wow. I was not able to taste all of them. It was real value for money and my wife was very happy how she celebrated her xx + 3 birthday.
Great ambience and great food servers and crew. Attentive, well dressed and work hard (dahil bago pa?)
Would I recommend Vikings to friends and followers? Definitely yes
Would you go there on an important occasion?
