Our 2nd guest (but who actually presented first) is an educator, a graduate of UP, (hilaw na in law ni Rocky Gabatin; his brother died though) Rocky actually helped them set up their tutorial site. She has a very long list of credentials. She is Katherine H. Ramoleta, who was born in Iligan city, grew up and studied in Alabang. She studied in San Beda and UP. (She is teaching at San Beda now which she says is in conflict with having a tutorial school
Right after graduation, together with 2 others and only P20,000 among them they set up the tutorial (actually bought the the school) and renamed this Tutorials Unlimited which was great differentiation at that time. It is along Esteban Abada (where the friends of PJ Lanot set up their expensive Nino resto) With cash payment of 5 students, that was the only time they were able to buy their aircondition for the tutorial.
She described their growing pains, their ups and down and tips on how to run your own start up.
But first you must have passion to keep you going. The start up is your baby.
Their bread and butter is tutoring college entrance students
Her dream? To put up a school. That should come earlier than later. I hope the speakers/guests are as motivated as we are.
