I and several other students (14 in all) had rather unusual Valentines Day celebration yesterday. We had our first session for the Entrep Class at Ateneo MBA in Clark.
We had the following activities:
1. Creative ideas, ideation - New ID or other gadget design.
2. Self Introduction
3. Walk through the syllabus
4. Debate: "Entrepreneurs are Born, Made or product of Opportunities"
The class had a rather animated if not heated debate. The judges declared that the advocate for enterepreneurs are "made" as the winner. Those who have louder voice and more emphatic made their points clearer. Liza (whose demeanor is stronger than Rose Montenegro)bong and Marlon have louder voices.
I later learned that one of the students, Michael is the son of Pepito Tan, a colleague at United Lab, Division of Therapharma. We made this discovery, after I told Jopet, the new class secretary who was also a drug pusher before a GSK, who is now at family business. He the son in law of the Angeles, (whose matriarch, Dra Victoria was an MBA student before who brought 8 scions and in laws to the Clark MBA program)
The class is rather sad today of some unexpected observations made by another professor regarding the assignments submitted which impugn on their integrity as persons. My personal observation after the first session, says otherwise. They are very creative and imaginative students and I wonder why there is such an allegation
The judges: Angelbert, Ed and Rophele explaining rules of engagement
Marlon talks about his and his partner new idea; I hope they will have the mock up/prototype next week
All girls debating team: Liza, Maria Farah, and Pia for entreps are made
The swerti team: Jopet Bong and Roman

Swerti and Born team interpellating
