What are your advantages?

Every generation needs a revolution - an entrepreneurial revolution

Your advantages are no longer about skills and abilities.  Training consultancy has diminished that and so with AI.

Your advantages as I have read in some publications are:

     1.   Integrity -   your character.  Are you trustworthy?
     2.   Credibility -  do your actions speak louder than words.  Do you walk the talk
     3.   Insight and vision -  to see things that are not and ask why not...  Its rare that you you would
           have no 2 if your mindset has been frozen into pay check to pay check mode

The third one is most difficult to acheive.  I think its either you are born with it or not.  Haivng a third eye or an intuition of what is going to be is not available to every one  Either you have it or you dont.

Or sometimes its the result of luck or lifes circumstances?

One businessman suggested that business is non only about economic transactions but about trust

Economic transaction, buying and selling, having a deal can not proceed without TRUST.   Trust is essential.  Businessmen, entrepreneurs should really build their character and integrity to win TRUST.  GSB and other schools have emphasized skills and knowledge but not character and integrity.   

So the higher the tech or educ attainment, the more likely the guy is to be a scammer.  That is why many are scared of businessmen and entrepreneurs.  Govs are prosecuting businessman.  Many businessman are at the bottom of the respect trust totem pole

What are good businesses?

Those that are:

1. Unique  those that have no copycats, and are stand outs
2.  Removes pain, and increase gain for the customers
3.  Does not harm people or environment
4.  Puts customers, people, above profit or gain

led by passionate people and those who profess to integrity and values

Your own employees can become your obstacles, and sometimes your competitors

Every generation needs a revolution - an entrepreneurial revolution

In the Forces Field Analysis, to reach your goals/objectives  you have two forces:    driving and restricting forces.  You advance either by increasing the driving force, and/or reducing the resisting force.  Meaning you can do one or the other or both simultaneously.

Your main resource the human resource, if properly screened and trained can make the achievement of the goal a breeze if they are passionate, have integrity, and have the capacity.  Or they can make it hard:   if they never execute, lack or have 0 passion.   Or worse become a detractor.

And much more to be competitor -  pirate your own people and put up a similar business similar to you within your immediate  vicinity despite a non compete clause in the employment contract.   Contracts are meant to be broken.  Its painful but its reality of human nature and life.

These are lessons: 
     1.  To know what your people are doing;
     2.   To be selfish at times   If they know everything, they can put up own company and compete.
     3.   Have a security system.  Business plans, marketing plans, technical specs drawing need to be 
           secure.
    4.   Compartmentalized communications, avoid general meetings.

Its just good to have Divine Justice, and sometimes they do not know 100%.  The one who competed vs me:

    1.  Could not sustain the P30K monthly salary for people whom they pirated;
    2.  The new investors they joined were sobs and forced them out.
    3.  Their businesses did not do well;
    4.  We now have war chest;  financing company and saved PHP.  they dont.  

But these things happen to everyone.  Be ready.

Collab - the new networking; the new deal is deal making

Much of the deal has been on deal making.   The deal could be made or broken based on the character of the deal maker.  The deal maker could have hurt the protagonist before or done him a favor before.  It is a no go if the deal protagonist was pained;  it is a  no go, it is go if  it was gain

Thus we have backdoor negotiation, enlist help of patrons, friends.  Or an authority

Or exert legal or administrative pressure so that the other party caves in.   
 Or wine dine the person.  Entertain   Or give him/her a haircut and even marrying the other party 

Thus avoid hurting  people you meet, publish ridicule.  Be on good terms with all people.  Dish out favors
