What we did at AGSB University of Iloilo Campus last January 11, 2014

                        My second free lunch with the class;  at Punsyon in Mandurriao (near SM):  Ramey, Prof Jorge,  Pam, Christian,  Jan, Terence, and Joevic

We had the following activities at the Entrepr Class in Iloilo, (University of Iloilo campus program)

1.  Concept  for products, and businesses.  We did a rapid prototyping exercise on common products as ID, pen, and keys.

2.  Tag lines

3.  Practice:  

     1.  New product concept from negative materials (trash)

     2.  Rapid prototyping .

     While we exchanged the trash brought by the class, the Group of Terence, Ramey and Jan had all things set;  they had a rather remarkable non slip, reversible slip less.  (The traditional slippers really slip.)  True entrepreneurs:   flexible, resourceful yet with strong determination.  Last minute changes will not deter them.

Thanks for volunteering to do the inspirational video.  I was excited and touched by your presentation.  Congratulations

May I request the following:

1.  That I be sent by your goodself the updated class list.  I understand there are new enrolees/transferees.  Please include the ID number  (Martin Revilla and Rachelle)

2.  The group list


3.  The seating arrangement. (This will help me remember names)

Notes on the assignment


In our excitement last night, I forgot to clarify the assignment:

1.  Next week, our Group Creative Activity will be product concept and prototyping.  For this I plan that the groups will be doing a dry cooking in class.  The dry cooking will involve as the main ingredients:  strawberries and bell pepper.  Each group will create a menu (in writing) and prepare other ingredients for two dishes:   one sweet, and the other sour as predominant taste  The groups shall:

      l.  Prepare prior to the class other ingredients and or materials that they may use.

      2.  We do dry cooking/preparation in the class

      3.  I will request Ana will help me in grading.  I understand she loves to cook

2  As to other assignments:

    l.  Please follow the procedures prescribed in the syllabus in sending your assignments:  id your assignment, no attachments, etc. Please send this to the proper blogsend addresses.

   2.  As to the NU 12, be sure they are SMART ones:   not broad or general ones but are concrete, specific and actionable.

   3.  Factors paper are not slideshare materials: ordinary uploading through blogsend will do.  Special Reports are to be uploaded to slideshare;   IVs are to be uploaded to third party video providers:  Daily Motion You Tube etc.  You are to send me clickable links or embed codes.

Important Reminders for the last three entrep sessions

TO         :   Sentrep and Mentrep classes

Some important reminders:

l. By this time, you must have submitted the topics and outlines of the business plan which constitute major portion of your grade.  Take advantage of the last 3 session which include today to consult on your business plan proposal.

2.  Deadlines:

       l.  All the assignments:  NU 12, SR, group reports, etc are due on the last day of the class.  No extensions.  Late submissions get nothing.

SR, group reports, case analysis:    profjorge.entrep.ateneo@blogger.com  

I am frequently asked the question why they did not see their assignment. Some explanations:

      l.  It had an attachment;

      2.  They forgot to put their name on it;  author unknown;

      3.  It was missent to another address; at this time, this is happenning.

      4.  The student must redo the report/assignment.

Please seek the assistance of Athens Cruz for sentrep;  Dr. Tim for Mentrep 

Sending the assignments on line correctly is a test of being process/six sigma oriented.

      2.  The business plan is due 45 calendar days after the last day of class. 

3.  Elsewhere I have emailed the logistic requirement of the entrep guest. Please take note and care of these.

4.  For the food trip, a report is required. It is a practice of OLO:  Observe Learn Observe  It must contain:

     l.  What is the business concept;  how is it different, unique and how it is delivered to the customers

    2.  What is the innovation/new about the food stall ( or A Venue?)

    3.  Is the business/food stall success or failure?  Why or why not.

    The Sentrep class will enjoy 3 types of food

5.  We will have the last two cases for the final two sessions:   Red Crab and Entrep Families of Asia
